Drifting wood is peaceful until the ocean sends an octopus. In Raft 101 Survival on Roblox, tentacle encounters and related sea threats gate mid-game progression — underbuilt rafts lose tiles, underfed players cannot heal, and default classes tickle HP bars. When ocean combat starts

Octopus behavior (community model)

From Raft Building, designate an inner ring around the fireplace:

• No storage on outer slam tiles during fight night
• Mast climber calls telegraphs
• Fisher stops fishing — DPS or repair only

After victory, immediately survey outer tile HP. Silent structural damage sinks rafts later during calm weather.
